Persuasion by Jane Austen

I'm pretty sure the Captain Wentworth's letter to Anne in the end of the novel was one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. In fact, that entire scene is so well done that I had one of those moments where you just know you read something stunning. My breathe was taken away. The conversation Anne has with Mr. Harville is such a great examination of just how much Anne has grown throughout the novel. When in the beginning she would have never gone as far as to state her opinion in such a forward it was amazing to see her she articulate. And then how that conversation leads to Captain Wentworth's letter was just stunning. I just really had to get that out.

Overall, this novel it beautiful. It is second only to Pride and Prejudice in my opinion however, I can easily see how it is so many people's favorite Jane Austen. I loved it and believe that if anybody wants to get a good grasp of Austen's work this needs to be read.
