Definitely not as good as The Martian, but still totally entertaining. I wasn't particularly convinced by Weir's take on the female perspective, which is why I docked a star—there were moments that I felt it was obvious she was written by a man, and that took me out of the story. Unlike The Martian, the entire book is written from Jazz's perspective, so I would have wanted it to be more seamless.
