This book has been on my TBR forever....I head the author interviewed back in 2016 on NPR and thought it was a fascinating topic....happenings in ambulances. The author definitely does a good job of writing his memoir of experiences as an EMT in Atlanta--- and intertwining stories that bring up poverty, politics, gore, love and loss. I was shocked with how many topic Hazzard brought up while describing a night in his bus. I still don't want to be an EMT, but I really enjoyed hearing about the work and what he was confronted with on a nightly basis. Very impressive.

Read if you enjoy memoirs with blood.
