From reading the blurb of this book, it does make you think it's going to be dark and full of sadness, but it's also filled with love, family bonds and forgiveness.
Claudia and her daughter Jasmine esacpe her abusive husband Marcus and go to live with her mother, Marcy. Trouble follows them and the events of one night are devastating.
This was an easy read, but did feel a little drawn out nearer the middle. Thankfully it brought itself back together again and I ended up enjoying it and wanting to pick it back up all the time. I loved how no matter what happened and if they all didn't agree with things at first, the 3 of them still all stuck together and the bond was so strong between them.
