Midwinterblood is made up of seven interconnected stories starting with one set in the future and working its way backwards in time. All stories concern the strange Blessed Island and all its secrets. This was a bit of a strange one that I only picked up because it won the Printz and only stuck with it because the chapters were short. It was hard for me to see the point in all of it after finally reaching the end, though all the stories were original. I was most interested in the story set in the future, and I actually wanted more information about Eric's life and technology before he arrived on Blessed.
