The President Is Missing by Bill Clinton, James Patterson

3.0

A good political action thriller, although I'm unsure what Bill Clinton offered to the mix, apart from some grandstanding, but maybe I'm being ungenerous.

The President is Missing follows President Jon Duncan as he fights to tackle a terrorist plot that threatens the whole of the United States.

This was a great poolside read - like Dan Brown crossed with Tom Clancy. It was exactly what you would expect, and it was fun. The short perspective-change chapters also made it very moreish. As far as I can tell, Clinton's contribution seemed to be things like a preachy speech made by the President, which was unnecessary but his name on the front did entice me to read this so
