Reading this again, after first going through it in high school, truly was a joyful and sorrowful experience. As I have grown, so has my ability to understand the real stakes that the characters face in this article. I can't help but draw parallels to the current Latin American struggle. Truly a phenomenal book that keeps up against the test of time, ironic considering it's cyclical message.
