Furiously Happy: A Funny Book about Horrible Things
by Jenny Lawson
I think I read too many reviews and was overhyped about this book because to be honest I liked it but I didn’t love it.
Let’s start by saying Jenny should totally be friends with Lorelai Gilmore, and I would definitely watch that spinoff.
I was expecting the book to be a sequence of events and it is more of a compilation of situation with no apparent timeline that holds them together. I. Hate. That. I don’t know if it’s my OCD but I need things to be organized even in books I need a proper timeline to like them.
Also she must be a doll but that excessive amount of what I consider lack of responsibility of ones life stresses me out. Maybe I’m jealous because she can go through life that happily and having such fun thoughts all the time, but me, I need to worry 24/7 or I feel the world stops spinning.
All in all I consider this was a fun light read until I started noticing the details fore mentioned, but if those things don’t stress you out or annoy you. This is a read for you.
