I'm glad I read this book, as I suppose it's considered a classic. Whilst it was a relatively easy read, and I wanted to know what happens, it just felt slow and a little mish-mashed together. The writing was clunky in places, and there was little to no character development. The best I can describe it as is very 2D character-wise. Usually there is an inner monologue of the reasons behind a character's actions, but there wasn't much or any of this and sometimes I felt very lost as to why something was happening. Glad I read it, though, but hope the movie is better!!
