Better than book 2, but not as good as books 1 & 3. Love the plans on plans and cooperation. The level layout was interesting but didn’t  entirely make sense.  The extra stories in the afterward were illuminating.

The gods were interesting. Went from being the scariest possibility to just hindrances. Why didn’t he go for the demon chain??!! I also appreciated that the sex workers in this novel were given more agency through one storyline. An improvement from the second book. Still definitely some sexist content.
