Luka by Jane Harvey-Berrick

4.0

I received an ARC for an honest review.

4.5 stars, because I thought this book was amazingly realistic and could relate to many parents today.
SpoilerI hated Sarah for her manipulation to the point that when she gets depression after the birth of her child, I couldn't feel any sympathy for her just because of what had happened during her pregnancy and even how she got pregnant in the first place. I ended up growing to hate Seth also which I didn't think would happen. He got on my nerves at times with him telling Luka to hide his sexuality and keep him a secret, but there was one line where he talks about how he feels on Lukas sexual fluidity that ruined me liking him forever.
I'm 100% happy with the outcome of this book. It wasn't dark like the first book but definitely focused on emotions and guilt and all that juice stuff and I really really enjoyed reading it!
