The series finale Nightrunner deserved!
Alec and Seregil are off to the sacred island of Kouros to investigate a gruesome murder, possibly by ghosts. Familiar and scary threats loom unseen, with a horrifying nightmare from the distant past clawing itself back one life at a time.
The final adventure finds Alec and Seregil quite settled in and full of trust, shines a bit more light to the surrounding characters and delivers a high stakes mystery with a painful resolution.
It's a pity Lynn doesn't want to write more books in the series because I feel that she definitely left enough doors open for future stories!
