This final book to the series is crazy good, having you holding your breath throughout the entirety of it. The action is crazy, though so many heartbreaking events happen, yet it's an easier pill to swallow knowing that death is not final in this world. However, the ending is a bit disappointing, as if written in a haste. It should have been more of it, the whole last 20% feels unfinished. The battle and Cronos role is so minimised, of course Hades' plan to overthrow Theseus is genius but it would have been nice to have some hints of what was to come, or at least to have a view of Hades' mind crafting a plan. So many details were left out, the battle that was supposed to be grand is to quickly skimmed over. And the ending for Ariadne and Dionysus is quite unsatisfying. Also, what about the Fates?the opiauthorus returning to the sky? What soul is traded for Sandros'? So many things left unanswered, and not in a way that particularly aids making this book spectacular. Nevertheless, it was a great series that kept getting better with each book, and the heart aches a bit at the idea of leaving our dear Hades & Persephone behind. oh and they deserve to get a child so bad, how come that did not happen???
