I wish I had read this without knowing that it was inspired by the author's time as Hunter S Thompson's personal assistant. It left me wondering what were actually events, and which were flights of fancy. I also spent too much time trying to figure out who the famous characters were based on, if any.
Still, it is a good book. I would probably give it a 3.5 instead of a four because it seemed rushed at the end.
