I liked and then lulled parts of this novel. The quick whit and banter between professionals was fun majority of the time. I definitely felt seen by Nora and Charlie, with their people pleasing personalities. I physically felt the weight on my shoulders.
Miscommunication, secrecy and deception on extremely important issues seem to be common throughout EH novels. They build the tension and lump in your throat, only to tie up all of the cords within the last 40 pages, tied with a bow. 🎀
It is interesting to see how our life choices and traumas shape a person and their habits.
