I keep going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. This was a cute little story about a young girl's experience of being sent away from Castro's Cuba as a 14-year old, with her younger brother and little else. It's based on the experiences of the author's mother and grandmother. I learned a lot about aspects of the revolution I knew little about previously. What made me go with 3 instead of 4 stars was that I kept calling it a cute little story.
