The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
5.0

I didn't have a ton of great reads to begin the year. I finally picked up this book off my shelf as I'm craving for a long adventure. And wow. I am impressed.

Well, after some confusion in the beginning but like Gansey - I obssessed. This was well-written for my taste that it didn't feel like YA at all. I was imagining them more like in university. Worked well.

The characters - where do I even begin. I adore them all.
◇Gansey being everyone's ground and ties holding everybody together.
◇Ronan, my broken boy. Without his sarcasm, how would Adam ever feel alive?
◇Adam was the boy that belonged even if he fought it. I understand his passion to build something for himself but sometimes, having a to reach out to is just what one needs.
◇Noah - I adore Noah. I like how he easily just took over being Blue's BFF.
◇Blue, my child. My brave child. All the relationships surrounding her, her family and the boys, were just right. Perfect. I wouldn't want it any other way.

This book is just adorable and I will treasure it to the depths of my literary heart. I've added so many words to my vocabulary so thank you, Maggie Stiefvater.

SPOILER!!!!

I made a comment (well, in my head) about Noah when I read the part he was introduced. His descriptions made it sound like he's dead. And he fucking is!!!
