The world building here is still incredibly thorough, but I had a hard time getting through this one. In Wool, the narration switching felt suspenseful and natural, but here it felt disruptive and forced. The characters in much of this book were harder to relate to, and the perspective switching so often just made it harder to get attached or even interested. Still, it was gratifying to see this world again and from such a very different angle.
