I have to admit there are a few loose ends on this book. Maybe I'm exaggerating with a 9/10 review (actually, I definitely am), but the writing style was so beautiful. Noah and Sage so often feel like different sides of the same perfectionist daughter coin, and they are so relatable. They feel Ike people struggling and meeting each other in the process and evolving together, and what else could a girl want from a romance??
The dialogues are so funny, natural and organic, and that cover is just absolutely beautiful, they are gorgeous and I love them. Also the discussions surrounding art as work, something you're passionate about and something you wrestle with, I loved every single instance of it. The people in Outdrawn feel like people; to think they exist outside the book doesn't feel at all like an impossible thing (minus that cheesy ending. a tiny pet peeve of mine is how even queer relationship in romcoms, at least the ones I've read recently, whose whole point is that they are real and valid and exist outside heteronormativity and what is usually understood as a norm,,,,,,, still fall into this thing of long term relationship and then marriage, like to date in itself can't be the stage of the relationship for the foreseeable future, just a middle stop before Something Else. This isn't about this book in particular more than just a ramble of a pattern I've noticed) .
Anyway, I loved this book, I loved a lot of things about it and I can't wait to revisit it
