Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

3.0

It is a classic for a reason. It was an enjoyable read, if not a bit tedious for the modern reader. The excitement doesn't really begin until about 20 chapters in. However, the characters are curious and endearing which is what really makes a story for me, personally! I loved Jane, her convictions and her heart were real. I was interested in her lover, Mr. Rochester. An interesting bloke, quite strange, still puzzling him out in my head.

Honestly, what a strange story for the age it came from! And what a twist of horror in the middle!

Still not quite sure if I LIKE this book but I admit it is intriguing and wild for the time period it came from! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys classics.
