This book should be called Vin Battles Imposter Syndrome.
This book is completely different from Mistborn so if you liked the first book, you way very well dislike this book. If you wanted a tense "good vs evil" book like the first, you will be disappointed. However, if angsty political intrigue is your thing, then this book is for you.
I think this book is just okay. The Found Family aspect of the first book was diluted in this book, and it was really hard for me to care for any of the characters. The reason I think the book is rated highly us due to the revelations in the last 100 pages. However, you will need to get through 650+ pages to get there, hence the 2-stars.
