Women of Fire: Rebellion and Hope
by Elvira Liceaga
I'm so glad this audiobook was translated into English (!); I'd had my mom listen to the original so she could give me the gist.
My dad's father was Purépecha and I'd only heard a few words of it before from my dad and late grandma so to hear Purépecha being spoken was moving. That a group of Purépecha fought against the encroachment of capitalists on their land and its resources and did so successfully is a wonder.
