In all of the very many tomes that I've read, across the thousands of sentences and hundreds of thousands of words that have formed my escape from reality over the years, never have I ever encountered a book that so decadently, beautifully, terrifyingly and ultimately accurately captures the amorous experience of the mythical creature known as the gay man. It boggled my mind at how it could at once be cold, unfeeling and brash and yet delicate, gentle and reflective. Romantic.

The feeling of falling in love, the ever-elusive state delivered by the potential of falling love, is perfectly encapsulated within these pages (especially the Frankie parts), delivered with enrapturing prose. I wish I had come across it sooner.
