This is a hard book to describe. It's science fiction, but also gets into moral and religious issues. My recommendation would be to start it when you have enough time to get through the first few chapters in one sitting. I didn't and it was a little tough to get started. But, once I got into it, it really became hard to put down and I would probably rank it closer to 4 1/2 stars if I could. There is a sequel, too, called Children of God. I'll definitely be picking it up!
