Big Moose by Cory Smith, Wilfredo Torres, Gorf, Ryan Cady, Sean Ryan, Thomas Pitilli

4.0

I like with the modern imaginings of Archie comics that the side characters are getting more attention. I can't recall many Moose-centric stories back in my childhood. The stories were primarily centered around Archie and Reggie conflicts. The Big Moose in this one-shoot is more of a B/C student in place of the failing lunkhead usually portrayed in the comics. In fact, Moose has the potential to be an A student if he weren't so bogged down with football, family, social obligations, errands, and school. You could say that about plenty of teens to be sure! Moose is still a little too possessive of his girlfriend, Midge, and in 2017, I think that old characteristic has permission to die out.
