lwspotts 's review for:
How to Be Good
by Nick Hornby
There is not a single likeable character in this book. Not one. They are all insufferably sanctimonious. I think the story could have actually been good, even funny, but Hornby took such an earnest approach that even the amusing parts were flat, and the characters, rather than being weirdly funny, have such a lack of self-awareness that they are pathetic.
