Brutal Vows
by J.T. Geissinger
J.T. Geissinger kept the best for last 👏🏽
We finally get Spider's story and I was hoping he would get justice from the way he was treated in the previous book. And boy, the author had quite the heroine planned for him 🤭
Spider is now the second in command in the Irish Mob. His elevated status opens doors for him, including an arranged marriage with a family in the Italian Mafia. Spider's marriage may have been arranged with a young woman in the Cosa Nostra, but the man cannot keep his eyes off his betrothed's overprotective aunt.
After her husband died under mysterious circumstances, Reyna gained the reputation of a Black Widow. She survived years of abuse from her husband and it has made her fierce and angry. Men tremble in fear before her. She uses her sharp tongue, a hidden knife, and guns to take out her enemies. And Spider is gone for her in the most unhinged way. As he should 😌 He's not scared of her and he gives as good as he gets. Suffice to say that Reyna is supremely annoyed at Spider's cockiness and lack of fear.
OMG the build up of tension and chemistry is extra delicious in this book 🤤 I was dying for these two to finally get it on. I was also dying to find out just how they would get together, since Spider's marriage had already been arranged with Reyna's niece. And let's just say, the actual wedding itself is the most epic thing ever. It's right up there with the wedding from Brutal Prince 😌
I'm so glad the author finally decided to give us a glimpse into the Italian Mafia. Listen, I love the Russian Bratva and the Irish Mob. But there's nothing quite like the old school Italian Mafia. They have a flair for the dramatic unlike the other mobsters. Their old fashioned ways elevate the drama and I honestly love it so much 🤣
I love the way the author concluded the series! Spider and Reyna are hands down my favourite!
