I wanted to love this book, I really did. The cover is amazing, the premise intriguing, the setting speaks to the imagination... But the book failed to deliver on almost every point. It drags on, the first 3/4 feel more like an introduction than an actual book, and when it finally starts to get interesting, the book ends. That's it. Done. Finished. Story over.

Disappointed, and not sure I'll muster the energy to read the second book.
