In this 3rd installment of The Legend of Eerie-on-Sea series we're one again following Lost-and-Founder Herbie Lemon and his best friend Violet Parma as they work together to solve yet another eerie mystery. Ghastly Night is approaching and the residents of Eerie-on-Sea are getting ready for their annual celebration. This year with the arrival of a theatre troupe and Calistra - who claims to know of Herbie's life before he arrived in the town - it's up to Herbie and Violet to save the town from the Shadowghast's grasp.

The friendship between the two main characters is something I really enjoyed reading about in this book especially. I liked how they had their disagreements but in the end they were there for each other when it really mattered.

Overall I really enjoyed being back in the world of Eerie-on-Sea with Herbie and Violet, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
