I really can’t explain why I loved this book as I did. Sayaka Murata conveyed such  symbolic and meaningful messages into a short, accessible story and to me that’s incredibly impressive. This book is depressing, but also not. I think the main reason it’s getting 5 stars from me is because it’s so thought & conversation-provoking. This is a book that could be analyzed in a class, honestly.
