My Thoughts Exactly by Lily Allen

4.0

A slow start as I confess to finding everyone's childhood boring, but this book really came into its own as Lily grew up. She was far more open, vulnerable and self-reflective than your average celebrity memoir writer - which meant lots of dishing the dirt on fellow celebs (hello Gallagher brothers) but more importantly, a willingness to grapple with her own shortcomings. You can tell Lily has had a lot of therapy and it's worked for her. The reflections on her marriage and her craft are particularly good.
