Mrs. Norris needs to mind her own business, Edmund isn't that great (mentally forcing/excusing Mary's behavior until the last chapters ), Henry Crawford is mean, and nearly every character is horrible (behavior-wise). The main issue I have with this book is that Fanny was not a main focus for the first half of the book. She's somewhat comparable to Elinor, but I was far more fond of the latter. Shit definitely went down in the second half, though. This is good fro reflecting on behaviors and relationships of the time period, but not so much for leisure due to its weak, slow first half. So far it's my least favorite Jane Austen work, but still not bad. Poor Fanny for most of this book!
Graphic: Classism
Minor: Infidelity
