Horrifying and really interesting examination of the “mad scientist” trope. I liked how the narrative was split between the doctor and Gabriella (Luciana’s sister) and found it super interesting that Luciana simply did not have a voice in this whatsoever.
I would totally recommend this book, but read at your own caution because it is pretty upsetting and uncomfortable.
