Letters To My Weird Sisters: On Autism and Feminism by Joanne Limburg

5.0

To Joanne Limburg... thank you.

This book was recommended to me by my dissertation advisor. It has been an absolute pleasure to read. Never have I felt more understood, and angry, and hopeful, and hopeless, in such a short period of time.

Being autistic is beautiful, but it can be challenging with all the obstacles society puts in the way. Knowing that my number one death cause is suicide rings very true. But knowing that now, I'm going to educate myself, I'm going to give myself all the accommodations possible, and (what a lot of the women in this book needed) I'm going to forgive myself and understand that it's not my fault.

If you're an autistic woman. Read this.
