Couldn’t put it down — finished it in three days. I cried, I smiled, I am now done with it and feel sad and happy at the same time. A beautiful love story between two teenagers in Iran who fall in love in a bookshop with history woven in, most notably the US’ involvement with overthrowing Iran’s democratically elected government. The book gave me the same feeling as the books I read when I was a lovesick teenager reading Nicholas Sparks, except this book is so much better, including culture and history. Can’t wait to see this adaptation on my tv.
