Genuinely irritated by the ending … first I was annoyed that Jasper sacrificed himself to kill Harriet (why did either of them need to die?!) BUT then Harriet somehow survived falling off a moving train to track down Ernest (an annoying character tbh) and attempt to kill him only to ‘miraculously’ be stopped by the girlfriend coming into the room for a lovers reunion?!  
Regarding the the rest of the book, I was likely going to give it a 4 or 3.75 before the ending because the main character was so bloody annoying that you actually just wanted to hurry up and finish the book.
