Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

2023 Reread: This book feels so different as the first time I read it was 5 years prior to our real pandemic and my reread, 3 years later. While I still absolutely adore this read, I find it almost unbearably sad even though there is hope here

Book 24 of 2015: 5/5 stars
I'm utterly speechless. This is DEFINITELY my favorite book I've read in 2015 and one of my favorites ever. I have tears in my eyes writing this, like I'll be thinking about this book for a while. It does a fantastic job illuminating the beauty and terror of living. The resilience, love, and violence humans are capable of and the mystery and magic that surrounds us throughout our lives. Many of the main characters are actors and musicians and artists which made the read feel extremely personal but besides that it's just an excellently written enthralling story. I was glued to the page. I recommend it to everyone!
