The story was the best part about this book, and it was truly heartbreaking to read. I loved both Camino and Yahaira's point of views and thought they both were really strong characters with a unique voice. Although I do think some of Acevedo's writing is stronger in her other books, the prose is still beautiful and there is a lot to love about this book.
Graphic: Grief, Sexual assault, and Death of parent
Moderate: Death and Stalking
Minor: Cancer and Trafficking
