Code Complete by Steve McConnell

3.0

- Terribly overrated
- Mostly obvious
- Too redundant
- Ignores reality of the industry (we're not living in a vacuum where we can safely ignore business aspects of engineering, like being able to spend indefinite amount of time on writing pseudo code, building BPMNs and Petri Nets)
- Outdated, too many stress on procedural languages

Verdict: may be a good read for people who just started as software engineers. Near useless for more experienced folks while taking centuries to read in full (exaggerate obviously).
