At first the narration seemed a bit disjointed, but as the book went on it became apparent that this was intentional. The narrative style was reflective of the events taking place within the plot - and it just worked, so well.
However, I'm not a huge fan of the use of syntax. I was a tad bit irked by the abuse of commas, but I was more than willing to let that slide.
