Early on she says that 3 families will find their loved ones. Unfortunately, it is three side stories and the not 3 young men who's stories the book focuses on, who remain lost. I felt deceived by this phrasing and did not appreciate it; I was unprepared for the lack of resolution. It raises the question of why publish the book. Well, the end of the book describes how they are creating a foundation to do continuing searching for missing PCT hikers. Basically, it's a fundraiser.
