A fantastic sequel novel to Bloodleaf! I really enjoyed Greythorne a lot!

Aurelia’s journey in Book 2 dealt with a lot of self discover about herself and her family and who she can truly trust. She is such a completely new person at the start of Greythorne! She is a stronger person and coming to terms with the wrenches life has dealt her since the end of Bloodleaf. We first meet up with Aurelia and she is mourning the loss of two people she cares for dearly: her mother
and Zan.
She is also dealing with struggles of dreams of blood, burning, and death. She might have the title of Princess, but nobody treats her as such.

The story progresses quite well and had me staring at the pages like WHAT?!?!?! at some of the twists and turns for the plot. Learning exactly who is a part of Aurelia’s family lineage was something I did not expect! Aurelia’s character development progressed nicely through the novel. I liked how certain sections of the story had Aurelia teaming up with Zan and others with Kellan. She cares so deeply for them both. Aurelia’s relationship with Conrad is so precious. You see just how deep their love for each other runs. They will do everything in their power to help and protect each other.

The ending chapters were so wild! Seeing all the pieces fitting together was great. I loved how Crystal Smith wrote this part.
It really made the book do a complete circle back to the beginning to see exactly the plan Aurelia had set up for her future self in specific past moments.

I’m excited to see how this all ends!
