Skin Deep by Pamela Clare
4.0
Very cute addition to the series. This book focuses on Megan, Marc's sister, and how she turns her life around after her ordeal in that book. She meets a wounded military veteran who saves her from an attack from her ex and the story develops from there.
It's a brief story, quick read for a lazy Saturday. The plot focuses on Megan and Nate, as well as the police's quest to find her ex who is trying to extort money from her. There's a bit of action, enough to satisfy Pamela's usual audience of romance-suspense readers. We also get to see a bit of Marc and Sophie, and even Julian. This story also introduces us to Nate's dad, Jack, who's quite a character and gets his own book later on. (As a side note, I loved Jack, but I don't think I liked him enough to read a romance about him. I'm sure it's a wonderful book, like all the others in the series.)
I was thinking of skipping it or leaving it for later, but I'm glad I ended up reading. Pamela is so talented, that she makes me love characters I hadn't really thought twice about before.
