I went into it knowing only that it’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling, so I knew the ending would leave sobbing.
That being said, I like the writing style: it was colloquial but poetic at the same time. The intimate scenes between the characters and the way they spoke to one another made you actually feel how strongly they felt for each other. It was beautiful.
It wasn’t a 5⭐️ for me because there were parts where I felt lost. Luckily the characters explained what was happening, LOL 😂
The ending left me a bit baffled though. I don’t understand why it ended as it did. I can only think that it was mostly because it had to “respect” the original story and deliver us the tragedy
