Slow Burn by Claire Ivy

5.0

Since Claire wrote Alpha Wolf, book one of her Wolves Hockey Romance series, I have been wanting Jenna and Scott (JAM and SAM). These two and the tension of just friends to lovers is such a story and I am so, so sooooo glad Claire has given us their story.

Jenna and Scott have been friends for decades. They have been each other’s rock for everything small and big. Their story is one that is built on a solid friend foundation. Everyone around them could see the love they have beyond friendship for each other but they both were fighting their own insecurities and fears on why not acting beyond anything more than friends. The tension builds enough and with some courage, they have their moment.

This was, no, is the perfect type of slow burn. Claire did such an amazing job with Scott and Jenna. The build up to the ultimate moment was perfection. Their reason for them not being together made sense, but to truly know Scott’s fears…yeah, that got some tears out of me.

I am so very happy they found their HEA together! It was much needed :)
