The Shuddering by Ania Ahlborn
2.5

2.5 stars. I mean, it had everything you could want from a horror book:
Suspense -  there were a lot of these things and they covered a lot of ground.
Plenty of gore - eating people while they were still alive. Character building - albeit very boring back stories and none of the characters were likable.
But it just fell short.
I could not picture the creatures. Author did a terrible job of helping me understand what they were other than tall, naked and with teeth.
And after all the limb tearing, arterial spraying and flesh ripping the thing that stands out most for me is that these morons thought a HUSKY - a resilient, sled dog breed known for its cold weather tolerance and hardiness - could not work her way through the snowy wilderness and they needed to make her a sled to SIT in while they attempted to escape the cabin. Woof.
