jessicabenedict 's review for:
The Baker's Secret
by Stephen P. Kiernan
This one was okay - I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite WWII novel. I did like that it was set somewhere new from others I've read on the Normandy coast. But I think I would have liked less of what was going on during the occupation and more what happened after the allies came. I felt that part was so rushed when that's what the book was building to. I wanted to know more about the aftermath, how much destruction there was and how they rebuilt their lives.
