The Last Book Party by Karen Dukess

4.0

Light quick summer read! Set mostly in Truro, MA during the summer of 1987, the book is told from the perspective of Eve, a young aspiring writer who works at a NYC publisher. After she is passed over for a promotion she quits her job and moves back with her parents in Truro and works as a research assistant for a famous writer who also lives in Truro.

This was an easy breezy read and I loved the setting of Truro. We go to Truro almost every summer so the book stirred up quite a few memories.

It's a perfect summer read for book worms since it is a book about books/writing and is set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod.
