I wanted to like this more, I really did! The concept is interesting, the characters begin interesting. It just fell a little flat. I wanted more from the characters, to be shown more how special they were rather than told. And the astral plane seemed a little too much like inside out meets drop dead Fred; it had some cool elements to it, but it just wasn’t developed enough. And there were a few plot holes in the end of the astral plane part, which was a bit abrupt. I did like how everything was tied in together on the very end, that was nice. And I’m not saying it’s not an enjoyable read. It’s definitely easy and engaging. I just wanted more.
