Review to come, but here are some initial thoughts:
I understand how some enjoyed it, and how some did not.
It is a book for a type of mood when you feel fine to read a slow, meandering book.
Even though I have found it a bit frustrating at times, I never felt convinced to not finish it (and this year I happily don't finish books if I am not feeling it) so there was something about The Goldfinch that had me hooked and kept me reading. It will be fun to analyse what about it kept me invested.
Shifting between 3 and 4 stars the whole time.
